The raspberry harvest in Ukraine is expected to be lower this year due to hot weather and a shortage of pickers, leading to a significant increase in raspberry prices. The president of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, Taras Bashtannyk, has reported that prices have doubled or tripled compared to last year. Prices for the lowest quality raspberries from households are now 2.5 times higher than last year, while industrial enterprises are supplying quality raspberries to factories for an average of 75-80 hryvnias per kilogram, a substantial increase from the 35-40 hryvnias per kilogram of last year.
