A report by 'Sanya Ribao' paper reveals that a shipment of mangoes from Hainan, China, for export to Canada has taken off from Phoenix International Airport in Sanya. The cargo, around 50-60 tons, was first transported to Xiamen before being forwarded to Vancouver. The mango cultivation in Sanya, spanning 28,000 hectares, has been ongoing since 2017 and generates approximately 6 billion yuan in annual revenue. These mangoes are not only exported to Canada but also to 12 other countries, contributing significantly to the local economy.
