The hospitality, gastronomy, and food service trade show Gastronomic Forum Barcelona has concluded another edition with the participation of 21,800 visitors (a 21% increase compared to 2024) in a year that paid homage to the new Catalan cuisine. A total of 75 chefs with 52 Michelin stars passed through the Montjuïc venue of Fira over these three days in an event also marked by "intense commercial activity" thanks to the participation of more than 400 companies, a 10% increase from the previous year, according to a statement from the organization. Among the most notable proposals were new launches such as carob nougat, crème brûlée croquettes, Iberian ham olives, or edible shrimp paint, "a reflection of the creativity and dynamism that characterize the food sector," according to Josep Alcaraz, the director of Gastronomic Forum Barcelona.
