The Government ends the confinement due to bird flu across Spain

At the beginning of this month of April, Animal’s Health reported that the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) decided to lift the confinement of poultry in municipalities that present a lower risk of avian flu propagation. Now, a couple of weeks later, this Thursday, April 16, the MAPA has decided to nullify the confinement measure across the entire Spanish territory. “In application of the fourth device of said order, and given the favorable evolution of the epidemiological situation of avian influenza in Spain, by means of Order APA/300/2026, of March 31, the confinement measure has been nullified in the municipalities not included in Annexes II and III of Order APA/2442/2006, of July 27,” the Ministry has pointed out.
