The Ministry of Agriculture wants to lower the prices for wheat for interventions.

The Ministry of Agriculture proposed lowering the limit prices for wheat, at which purchase and commodity interventions may be carried out in the 2026/27 season. The prices for rye are proposed to be increased, while for barley they are proposed to remain at the previous level, according to a draft order of the department posted on the portal of draft normative legal acts. The prices are determined for all regions of the country and are coordinated with the Federal Service for Agro-Industrial Market Regulation. Thus, the limit minimum prices for 3rd class wheat during purchase interventions are proposed to be set at 14,630 rubles per ton with VAT (14,850 rubles/ton in the current season) and 13,300 rubles/ton without VAT (13,500 rubles/ton); for 4th class wheat, respectively, 13,970 rubles/ton (14,190 rubles/ton) and 12,700 rubles/ton (12,900 rubles/ton).
