The Algerian government has set the ceiling price for coffee consumption at 1,250 Algerian Dinars per kg for Arabica and 1,000 Algerian Dinars per kg for Robusta. The profit margin for importing green coffee beans for resale is 3%, and for products made from imported green coffee beans, it is 4%. Companies are required to compare these prices with the international reference price and submit documents if they import at higher prices. If the documents are accepted, compensation will be granted from the State budget to maintain the ceiling price. Vietnam, which exports most of its coffee to Algeria, has seen coffee exports to this market reach 27 thousand tons, worth 91 million USD in the first 8 months of the year.
