Tien Giang province in Vietnam is facing challenges in fruit exports, leading to a surplus of agricultural products and a significant price drop. Jackfruit is the most affected with prices reaching as low as 2,000 VND to 3,000 VND/kg due to quality issues. Other fruits such as pineapple, soursop, Hong Xiem, and mango also see a decrease in price by 10-15% compared to the previous week. The price drop is attributed to the closure or restriction of some Chinese border gates for fruit export, resulting in congestion and flooding. This situation is causing financial difficulties for gardeners and farmers, especially those planting dragon fruit trees.
