Spain: The trend turns again in favor of farmers and wholesale prices of cereals rose again except oats and barley

The data released this Monday 23rd by Accoe, relating to week 47, reflect that the price of corn reached 210.21 euros per tonne, 0.77% more weekly (the cereal that the trend is turning more strongly again, since at the beginning of October it was 188 euros), and that of common wheat, 210.82 euros, 0.53% higher. The price of barley stood at 186.42 euros per ton, which represents an increase of 0.34% in one week, while durum wheat became more expensive by 0.15%, to 267.40 euros. Malt barley did not undergo changes, so its price remained at 198.67 euros per ton, and the only one of these cereals that became cheaper was oats, by 0.53%, standing at 188.25 euros per ton. Since January 2020, the price of corn has increased 16.63%; followed by increases of 15.94% in oats; 6.04% of durum wheat; 4.84% of common wheat; and 2.58% of barley.
