Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono revealed that fish farming optimization in Indonesia is needed to increase its contribution to state revenue. According to him, the upstream fisheries sector plays an important role in increasing the contribution of this sector. "Then cultivation, in Norway, the focus is only on one commodity of salmon, and that is worldwide. Salmon in Indonesia is around 600 tons per year. That is not a small number," he said in the Economic Update of CNBC Indonesia, Wednesday (10/8/2022). Meanwhile in Indonesia, many types of fish have great potential to be developed. Trenggono revealed that grouper, bubara, baronang, and napoleon have the potential to be developed in Indonesia. "So far, it is still small. Then there is the most expensive fish called napoleon.
