Turkish tuna farmers tripled exports to Japan over the past decade

Over the past decade, Turkish tuna farmers have seen a significant increase in their exports to Japan, tripling in volume. They have also expanded their operations into North Africa. The demand for their product is growing, particularly in China and South Korea. Currently, the harvesting of fattened bluefin tuna is underway off the Aegean Sea coast in the western province of Izmir.
