In the 2023/24 season, Turkey's olive sector saw foreign exchange income of 765 million dollars, with pomace oil exports bringing in 48.6 million dollars. Despite a 18% decrease in exports compared to the previous season, the increase in the average export price of olive oil helped limit the decrease in foreign exchange income. The country exported olive oil to 120 countries, with the United States, Spain, and Italy being the top markets. Exports to Japan saw a 19% increase, and Russia, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, and Australia also imported significant amounts of Turkish olive oil.
