Ukraine exports 40% of its own confectionery products.

Ukrainian confectionery manufacturers exported 214 thousand tons of products worth $660 million from January to September 2025, which is 17.6% more in volume and 29.2% more in monetary terms than in the same period of 2024. This is reported by "Interfax-Ukraine" with reference to a statement by Oleksandr Baldinyuk of the association "Ukrkondprom." According to him, the main markets are European countries: Romania, Poland, Moldova, Germany, Latvia, and Lithuania. At the same time, Ukraine imports mainly cocoa raw materials, fats, and flavorings. The trade balance of the industry for the 9 months of 2025 is positive: exports amounted to $660 million, and imports to $338 million, significantly exceeding last year's figures ($511 million and $298 million, respectively). The average cost of 1 ton of exported confectionery products is $3084, which is a quarter more than in the pre-war 2021.
