In the first quarter of 2024, Ukraine saw a significant decrease in pasta exports, exporting 8,000 tons, which is half the amount compared to the same period in 2023. The total value of these exports was $17 million, with Germany, Great Britain, and Romania being the main buyers. This follows a positive trend from the previous year, where pasta exports increased by half compared to 2022, reaching 24,000 tons and generating nearly $53 million in revenue. The European Union, especially Germany, was the primary market in 2023. The exports consisted of a variety of products, including instant vermicelli, and there has been investment in the production of flour and pasta in Ternopil Oblast.
