In the past five years, Turkey has seen a significant increase in avocado production, tripling from 1,950 tons in 2016 to 5,917 tons in 2020, resulting in a 17-fold increase in exports, which reached $ 1.48 million in 2020. Avocados were exported to 34 countries, with Russia, Ukraine, and Bulgaria being the main importers. The total foreign trade volume of tropical fruits in Turkey over the past five years was $ 10.9 million.
