American farmers have seen a significant increase in wheat production this year, with a 9% rise compared to the previous year, totaling 1.97 billion bushels (53.62 million tons). This includes a 9% increase in soft winter wheat production to 1.35 billion bushels, an 8% rise in soft spring wheat to 542 million bushels, and a 35% increase in durum wheat to 80.1 million bushels. As of September 1, wheat stocks have also seen a 12% increase from the previous year, reaching 1.99 billion bushels. Farmers have stored 664 million bushels of wheat, marking an 11% increase compared to last year.
