The Vietnam Farmers' Association has strengthened its relationship with the Asian Rural Human Resource Development Organization (AsiaDHRRA) over the past 20 years, with a recent meeting outlining the association's tasks and achievements, including the management of over 10 million farmer members. This collaboration has led to the implementation of projects like 'Strengthening the participation of agricultural cooperatives in the value chain,' aimed at enhancing the capacity of honey bee cooperatives and improving livelihoods through value chain development. The project, funded by AsiaDHRRA and set to run from 2022 to 2024, aims to benefit 3,500 households by improving honey selling prices and establishing a network of small honey cooperatives for export and domestic market access. The initiative also focuses on formulating research policies to support honey value chains and small agricultural cooperatives, promoting socio-economic development and poverty reduction in rural areas.
