Exports of US apples, primarily from Washington state, to Vietnam surged by nearly 50% in the last crop year, reaching over 1.8 million boxes. This growth makes Vietnam the second largest market for US apples after Taiwan. The surge is expected to continue with reduced shipping costs. The Washington Apple Association is preparing to serve the 2025 Tet season in Vietnam with several hundred containers. Vietnamese consumers prefer US apples due to their taste and appearance, especially during the Tet holiday.
