Vietnam's pepper exports in July 2020 decreased by 11.85% to 18,026 tons and by 21.60% to 44.88 million USD compared to the previous month, and by 20.44% to 184,571 tons and 21.47% to 400.35 million USD respectively compared to the same period last year. The average export price in July increased by 7.98% to $2,490 per ton. The International Pepper Community reported mixed directions of world pepper prices, with changes in Vietnamese and Malaysian pepper prices, a sharp increase in Indonesian black pepper, and concerns about the impact of Sri Lankan pepper imports on Indian pepper growers.
