VINAGRI News - Farmers in Vĩnh Long have harvested over 53% of the area of the 2025-2026 winter-spring rice crop, yielding above plan, with rice prices increasing slightly, production stable, unaffected by drought and salinity. According to the Vĩnh Long Department of Agriculture and Environment, farmers across the province have harvested 56,043 hectares of the 2025-2026 winter-spring rice crop, accounting for 53.37% of the planted area. The average yield reached 7 tons/ha, exceeding the plan by 4.4%; the total output reached 392,576 tons, equivalent to 55.22% of the plan. Among the total harvested area, 3,916.9 hectares of rice belong to the "Sustainable Development Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation linked with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030", accounting for 47.18% of the project's planted area.
