Vietnam's cashew industry has seen a significant growth in the first quarter of 2024, with exports reaching 147 thousand tons and valued at 782 million USD, a 31.8% increase in volume and a 20.5% increase in value compared to the same period in 2023. The country leads in global cashew nut exports, accounting for 80% of the global production for the 16th consecutive year. However, the industry faces challenges such as raw material availability, production costs, and shift towards green production. To maintain this growth, businesses are encouraged to monitor market trends and improve product quality. Additionally, the country needs to diversify cashew product processing, minimize unofficial exports to China, and diversify export markets. Utilization of effective FTAs, investment in advanced processing lines, market research, and dynamic promotion strategies are also crucial for the industry's growth and sustainability.
