Will Poland sell even more apples to Germany this season?

German fruit growers will harvest 1/4 fewer apples this season than last year. What does this mean for us? The apple harvest in Germany will be the lowest this season since 2017. The local fruit growers will harvest 26% fewer apples than in 2023. The smaller harvest means that the country of 84 million will have to buy more fruit from abroad, because the average consumption there is quite high. This is very good news for the Polish fruit growing sector, because we sell more and more apples to Germany year by year. Our western neighbors will harvest only 734 thousand tons of apples. It is worth noting that in the 2023/2024 season we exported almost 100 thousand tons to Germany. So theoretically, even lower harvests should result in greater demand for Polish apples.
