With China as the main destination, meat shipments from Argentina in 2022 grew in volume and value

Argentine exports of bovine meat accumulated throughout the last year, from January to December 2022, were located in volumes close to 796,315 equivalent tons of beef with bovine meat plus 93.7 thousand tons of bovine bones; for a value of more than 3,424 million dollars. Shipments grew slightly more than 54 thousand tons (9.5%) compared to 2021. Of this additional volume, about 6.5 thousand tons correspond to greater shipments to destinations within the European Union and some 61 thousand tons correspond to shipments made to China, while 1.3 thousand tons less were sent to the United States, 1.5 thousand tons less to Brazil and around 11 thousand tons less to Chile. The People's Republic of China was the main destination, in volume, for Argentine beef during 2022 with approximately 485.7 thousand tons, followed by Israel, 31.1 thousand tons, and then by Germany, 23.6 thousand tons.
