In 2022, Argentine bovine meat exports saw a 9.5% increase from the previous year, reaching a total of 796,315 equivalent tons and 93.7 thousand tons of bovine bones, with a value of over $3.42 billion. The majority of these exports, around 485.7 thousand tons, were shipped to China, making it the largest market. The average price of meat exported to China in 2022 was $4,627 per ton, a 16.7% increase from 2021, although it dropped to $3,160 in December. The European Union also increased its imports from Argentina by about 6.5 thousand tons, and the average price for boneless chilled meat from the EU was approximately $10,000 per ton. The average FOB price for all destinations in 2022 was $5,472 per ton, a 12% increase from the previous year.
