The consumer price index in Russia remained unchanged in the period from April 7 to April 13. This was reported by Rosstat in a weekly report. Some goods saw a slight price increase, such as granulated sugar and buckwheat groats. Meanwhile, prices for cucumbers, onions, and flour decreased compared to the previous week. Rosstat recorded the most significant changes in the service sector – the cost of trips to Southeast Asian countries and the Black Sea coast of Russia fell by 7.8% and 5.4%, respectively. The zero weekly inflation led to a slowdown in the annual rate to 5.77%. Since the beginning of 2026, prices have risen by an average of 3.15%. Earlier, President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia needs to return to the trajectory of sustainable economic growth.
