Cherries have become a popular fruit in China during the Spring Festival, with the country importing a significant amount from Chile, a journey of nearly 20,000 kilometers. This is a testament to China's high-level opening up, with 146 types of high-quality agricultural products from 51 countries and regions allowed by customs in 2023. Over 92% of Chilean cherries are exported to China, driving growth in Chilean cherry agriculture and leading to technological and management improvements. China's large market and efficient domestic circulation system have made imported goods more affordable, supporting domestic production, improving people's livelihood, and promoting trade exports.
