Once the COVID-19 pandemic expanded in March around the globe, it is affecting the export of Myanmar's fisheries products to other countries. The long contract buyers have stopped placing orders and demands have declined. Thus, fish processing factories are now facing challenges in keeping their business running. The companies are worried that they will not able to pay the employees' wages if the current situation extends another 2-3 months.
