Early season harvest of sweet cherry started in Erdemli, Mersin

The first sweet cherry harvest of the season in Erdemli has just started. The production area in the district is around 100 hectares and the annual expected production yield is around 5 kmt.

The products are sold domestically and exported to Iraq. The farmgate price is currently around 2 to 3 USD per kg.
