Brazil's largest airport, Guarulhos International Airport (GRU), a vital hub for air cargo export and import, is grappling with a substantial backlog of shipments, causing delays in customs clearance. During W48, the airport experienced slow logistics operations, leading to congestion in the external patio with uncleared cargo. As a response, some international companies have temporarily suspended cargo operations at GRU in São Paulo and redirected volumes to alternative airports like Rio de Janeiro Airport and Viracopos Airport, São Paulo, until internal logistics are resolved.
