The GACC, General Administration of Custom of the People's Republic of China , issued a notification regarding registration and management of imported food producers from abroad to the People's Republic of China. This requirement, being effective from January 2022, forces entrepreneurs who wish to export all kinds of food products to China to register in the GACC. The registration is valid for 5 years. Thus if an exporter wishes to renew, it must submit documents to GACC 3 to 6 months in advance before the registration expires.
