Cassava Starch From Thailand Pended At Shanghai Port In China

, issued a notification regarding registration and management of imported food producers from abroad to the People's Republic of China. This requirement, being effective from January 2022, forces entrepreneurs who wish to export all kinds of food products to China to register in the GACC. The registration is valid for 5 years. Thus if an exporter wishes to renew, it must submit documents to GACC 3 to 6 months in advance before the registration expires.

Most of the Thai food exporters registered but only about 10 exporters actually have been approved by GACC. While exporters are awaiting officially registration approval, their goods have been pended at the ports of destination such as Shanghai.

For instnace, the Iamburapa Group Co., Ltd., which is listed in Tridge's own supplier list, has been held with about 1,00 MT of cassava starch at the Shanghai port, as well as the cassava starch of Choncharoen Group Company Limited since 10 February till at this moment.

A group of 18 food producers that are required to submit documents for registration with GACC through Competent Authorities (CA) is as below :

2. Sausage
3. Aquatic products
4. Dairy products
5. Bird's nest and products
6. Honey and honeycomb products
7. Eggs and products
8.Oils and fats for consumption
9. Products made from flour containing various fillings
10. Cereals
11. Crushing Plants and Malls
12. Fresh and dried vegetables and dried beans
13. Condiments
14. Nuts and seeds
15. Dried fruit
16. Unroasted coffee beans and cocoa beans
17. Specific food for health
18. Supplements and Products
