Chad Origin Sesame Prices in Turkey Remain High for W41 As Buyers Anxiously Await the New Crop

The new crop of Chad origin sesame is expected to arrive in the global marketplace in the near future as harvesting will start in October-November. Hence, the CIF price of old crop unhulled Chad origin sesame in W41 in Mersin port remains high at USD 1650/MT compared to its price in W30 at USD 1,500/MT. The primary reason for the high price is the low stock levels as the new crop has not yet arrived in the Turkish market.
