The State of Mexico ("Estado de México") located in the central-south region of Mexico, is the main producer of farmed aquatic organisms among Mexican states without coasts, having increased its production by around 15% from 2019 to 2020. Now that Easter is around the corner it brings alongside an almost nationwide dietary shift from red meat to white meat, meaning that products such as Tilapia, Carp, Trout, and other types of seafood will have great demand among Mexican people, such situation will increase prices locally. The State of Mexico expects to sell at least 50% of their yearly production during the next couple of weeks.
