The Season of Egyptian Valencia Oranges Ends in the Brazilian Market During W21

In the Brazilian market, many exporters took advantage of the shortage of Uruguayan oranges and increased their imports of Egyptian oranges. In W21, the Brazilian market received the final shipment of Egyptian Valencia oranges for the 2022/23 season. As a result of competition among importers, market prices dropped by approximately 30% compared to the start of the season, falling from USD 18.15/15kg box (BRL 90/15 kg box) CAT1 to USD 12.10/15kg box (BRL 60/15kg box) CAT1.
