The price of local corn starch in W40 in Indonesia stands at USD 0.45/kg, which is significantly lower than the price of imported corn starch due to the recent weakening of the Indonesian Rupiah at Rp 15,225 for USD 1. Thus, many buyers are recalculating their importation costs compared to sourcing locally.
