More than 100 full container loads (FCL) of fresh Vietnam Monthong durian are stranded at the Thai border. To prevent spoilage, the durian will be processed into frozen durian in Thailand and re-exported to China. This situation has arisen due to limited durian production in Thailand due to unfavorable weather conditions. As a result, there is high demand for the Vietnamese durian stranded at the border.
