The Netherlands has announced a three-week partial lockdown due to the highest number of COVID-19 cases. Restaurants are forced to close at 8 pm and are redirecting a substantial amount of fruits and vegetables stock to wholesale market at very low prices. 40% of the marchandises have shorter shelf lives due to panic arrival from restaurants and limited stock capacity of local grocery shops. This situation is expected to last the whole month of December 2021.
