Favorable weather conditions have allowed Asparagus producers in New Zealand to increase their production. Although the majority of asparagus supply is consumed locally, some farmers are now looking to export as the quality of their supply complies with international standards. This season, production volumes are forecasted to increase by 15-20%, and exports to rise by 7-10%.
