Norwegian Seafood Exports, Including Farmed Salmon, Decreased by 3% in Q1-24

In Q1-24, seafood export value reached USD 3.6 billion (NOK 40.2 billion), a 3% year-over-year (YoY) decrease compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC). Moreover, Norway exported 246.5 thousand tons of farmed salmon worth USD 2.5 billion (NOK 27.9 billion) in Q1-24. This represents a 6% YoY decrease in volume and a 2% YoY decrease in value. Norway's three largest salmon export markets are Poland, France, and Denmark.
