Southern Thailand faced a 50% year-on-year (YoY) decline in fresh durian production, attributed to heavy rains in the region. This shortage has led to a surge in wholesale prices, expected to persist until Nov-22, when other regions begin their harvest. In W32, Monthong durian prices at packing houses ranged from USD 4.81 to USD 5.52 per kilogram, marking an increase from W31 prices of USD 4.24 to USD 4.67/kg.
