Norweigian Frozen Cod Prices Is Expected To Keep Increasing

In WK 24, the annual Seafood conference was held in Ålesund, Norway. The biggest subject was the price increase in the cod in 2021. With prices increased 44.7% YoY to a record high price of NOK 55/kg (USD 5.84/kg) in June 2022. Seafood analysts believe the price will go over NOK 60/kg (USD 6.38/kg) in 2022. They indicated it might go over NOK 70/kg (USD 7.36/kg) in 2023. The cod have never had such high prices before.
