Supply of Cabbage in Tokyo Market Has Decreased 23% YoY in W52 Due to Bad Weather

In W52, the Tokyo market had less supply of cabbage. There was a 23% YoY decrease in cabbage market supply due to sluggish growth due to low temperatures and insufficient rain in the primary supply areas. One of the main supply locations in central Japan saw 72% YoY less rain in December 2022. In January 2023, the cabbage supply will slowly increase in the Tokyo market, and the supply size will return to normal.
