Tanzania’s Meat Exports Decreased by 24% YoY in October as a Result of the Prolonged Drought

Tanzanian meat exports have been declining due to decreased meat quality caused by the prolonged drought in most parts of the country. Meat exports decreased by around 24% YoY to USD 2.9M in October, from USD 3.8M recorded in the same period of 2021, which also indicates a drop in the volume of meat from 958,015kg to 631,756kg in the same period.
