Egypt Advances Start Date of 2023/24 Orange Export Season Due to Accelerated Ripening

The Export Council announced that, due to recent climatic conditions accelerating fruit ripening, the Egyptian Citrus Committee has decided to advance the start date of the 2023/24 orange export season to December 5, 2023. Entry to packing stations will be allowed from December 2, 2023, aiming to preserve the reputation and quality of exported fruits. The initial start date was scheduled for December 15, 2023, with entry to processing stations permitted from December 10, 2023.
