In order to finish up their current stock of vanilla, many vanilla suppliers in East Java province are selling their Grade-A Tahitian vanilla at USD 180/Kg. This is a huge dip from its price in the previous 3 weeks, which ranged between USD 200-210/kg. Moreover, the slowing down of demand for this commodity has been a contributing factor for the significant price drop, forcing suppliers to compromise on the selling price.
