The increasing oil price in Indonesia has increased the operational costs for fishermen. The Ministry of marine affairs and fisheries plans to make a subsidy policy for fishermen regarding oil prices, but this is still uncertain. The operational costs for fishermen increased up to USD 337/week in September and the weekly sales for fishermen are not covering the operational costs due to the high fuel prices.
