Ukrainian sunflower producers are holding their stock instead of selling to the market which has the potential to increase prices by 5-10%. Producers are holding stock in an effort to push prices higher because prices are not high enough to cover all production costs. They are only selling enough to cover short terms costs such as fertilizer, fuel, seeds etc. Traders are also not able to offer higher prices because they can't use all the export channels due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war
