Demand for Portuguese kiwifruit rises as season starts soon

The Hayward kiwifruit variety season is starting on the last week of November in Portugal. French and Spanish buyers are approaching local producers to negotiate deals. Production declined in Spain and Italy due to spring frosts that negatively impacted blossoms, so demand increased for Portuguese kiwifruit.
