The colder ocean temperatures in Ecuador are causing difficulties for shrimp plant processors to supply 7-virus-free vannamei shrimp in smaller sizes, such as 40-50 and 50-60. South Korea strictly demands 7- virus-free shrimp and Ecuadorian producers cannot fulfill the needs of small shrimp at the moment due to the colder temperatures.
