Peru's second fishing season in the North-Centre region concluded with around 75% of the 1.68 million metric ton (mmt) quota landed by January 13. In the South, IMARPE initiated a 10-day exploratory fishing period. China reported off-takes of imported fishmeal at around 21 thousand mt in W4, and total stocks reached 196 thousand mt, exceeding the previous five-year average of 144 thousand mt for W4. Meanwhile in Chile, available raw material decreased by around 13% week-on-week (WoW) due to reduced landings in the South. Lastly, in Northern Europe during W3, landings decreased WoW across various species.
