According to French buyers, this avocado season will be similar to the previous one, as there will be a short-term shortage this November. This is mainly because Peruvian avocado supply to Europe has ended, Chile exports less to Europe, and Colombia has a poor reputation in terms of ripening results and taste, while Mexico mainly supplies the United States. The French market's demand is at its highest point, but until the end of November, the supply is anticipated to drop. Buyers are eager to obtain as many avocados as possible, especially from the Moroccan market. However, for buyers, supply from Morocco is expected only after January, as Morocco also suffers from a production shortage due to a huge increase in production costs, including cultivation, packaging, and transport.
