In W32, pink shrimp prices in Italian fish markets decreased slightly compared to the previous week due to increased supply. Prices in Chioggia and Mazara del Vallo averaged USD 11.99 to 13.08 and USD 13.08 to 14.17 per kilogram (kg), respectively, in W31. This week, prices dropped by approximately USD 1.09 to 2.18/kg, reflecting an average week-on-week (WoW) decrease of 17.4% in Chioggia and 12% in Mazara del Vallo. The decline illustrates a balance between increased supply and steady demand, though market conditions in the seafood sector can quickly shift due to product availability and quality changes.
