On October 17, 2022, in Serik, southern Turkey, four teams were tasked by the Serik District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to evaluate the damage caused by walnut-sized hailfall on Saturday. The hailstorm affected 121 decares of glass greenhouses, 21.5 decares of plastic greenhouses, and 163 decares of open area, rendering crops such as eggplant, pepper, cauliflower, strawberry, and cotton unusable. This incident affected 102 farmers across Eskiyörük, Şatırlı, and Abdurrahmanlar districts. Senior officials, including the District Governor, AK Party Antalya Deputy, Serik Mayor, and AK Party Serik District President, visited the affected farmers to assess the situation.
